Customized Content Management System Development Service in Pennsylvania
Many companies need the ability to update web pages on their own quickly. There are several ways to accomplish this, one of which is to use content management software. This web based software allows someone with a password to edit or create pages and immediately update them.
Another option is to use a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editing tool like Microsoft FrontPage, Adobe Contribute, or Macromedia DreamWeaver to download the HTML page to your local computer, make changes, and upload to the web server.
A third option is to hire a web developer to quickly make changes to your website pages.
At PA-WebsiteDesign.com we offer all three of these solutions. Our business hours are 8 am to 6 pm EST for changes. We can usually guarantee 48 hour turn-around time. We use W3C web compliant CSS in all of our web page designs, with server-side includes for headers, navigation and footers. For this reason, if you desire to use a WYSIWYG editor, we recommend using Adobe Contribute. This editor will allow you to make changes only to the content of the page, without changing the layout or website style. You will be able to add graphics, tables and text without worrying about making a mistake on the layout and messing up your pages. We can teach you how to use this tool by “inviting” you to join us on one of our local machines in editing your pages. We use GoToMyPC software to accomplish this training.
We also developed a content management editor which is web based and can be applied to any website located on a server that supports PHP and MYSQL. With this editor you can log into an administrative panel with a password and select any HTML page of your website to edit. The software allows you to add text (in the font of your style sheet) and change text size, weight and style. You can also add graphics and simple tables. With this method there is no need to download files to a local machine to make changes, and anyone with a password can make changes to your web pages. There is also no danger of messing up the layout of your website and you will not be able to make changes to your header, footer or navigation bar. You will be able to add pages within existing categories of your navigation bar. For instance, if you have an Articles category section of your website, you will be able to add new articles.
